I have a 2006 Kia Sorrento 3.5L V5 2WD with Automatic transmission

Question:  I would like to know, is your driveline for this vehicle a single or dual shaft design? Also, does all of the required parts for installation included with the drive shaft?

Answer:

We can provide a brand  new dual shaft  driveline and would be complete ready to bolt including joints and center bearing.  The complete unit will be high speed balances as an assembly before leaving the factory.

Need Aluminum Drive Shaft

I have a K2500 1999 7.4L Automatic 4WD

Question:  I have a 1999 K2500 crew cab short box Chev 4X4. It has had a vibration in the driveline since I purchased it used 8 years ago. I have had the driveshafts balanced, I checked the opperating angles of the u joints, hanger bearing replaced along with replacing the u joints. I was made aware that this is an ongoing problem with these trucks and that there was a optional 1 piece aluminum driveshaft available which is no longer available through Chev. Is this something that can be built by provenforce? Any help or suggestions will be greatly appriciated.

Answer:  We can provide  brand new aluminum shaft fabricated in our shop to replace your existing shat.  Depending upon what joints from you existing shaft we can use the cost will run between $500. and $600 plus freight.  See the other driveline and drive shafts  assemblies we can provide on our site.

Single Piece Driveline for 2006 Dodge 2500

I have a Dodge 3/4 ton with the 5.9L engine, automatic 4WD.

Question:  I am currently running driveline_assemblya two piece drive shaft on my quad cab long bed. I was hoping to get a quote on an aluminum one-piece drive shaft similar to the one Dodge began putting in some of the newer trucks. The truck is lifted six inches also via six inch front coils and 4-inch taller leaf springs in the rear. Thank you for an assistance you can offer.

Answer:  We can manufacture for you a brand new single piece aluminum driveshaft that will be high speed balanced before leaving the factory. Utilizing the single piece driveline will allow you to eliminate the center bearing/hanger assembly.  Your cost on this unit will be between $550.00 and $625.00 depending on the condition of you core, plus freight. We will need your existing driveshaft setup in order to get the correct dimensions and this assumes that we can reuse your existing slip yoke as this is a Dodge only part.

We will provide an final estimate before work is started as soon as your core arrives at the factory.

1995 Ford F150 need flange yoke

I have a 1995 Ford F150 5.0L Automatic 4WD

Question:  The VIN is 1FTEX14N4SKC09682, Axle Code S832J, 3.31 Ratio, 8.8” Ring Gear I am looking for the flange yoke were the one piece drive shaft mate the the rear axle yoke. The flange yoke has 4 bolts and is bolted to a mating flange on the axle. I want to replace the flange yoke, flange bolts and the universal joints on the front an rear of the drive shaft. I want the best parts you carry. I can send you a photo of the connection if needed.   Can you supply the parts I need?

Answer   We can provide part number PF3302-1369 your cost is $29.33 as long as you have a 2 inch Pilot to mate up with pinion flange, 5-130X-ujointwe unable to supply bolt or hardware.

Buick Rivera 1964 driveline vibration

I have a 1964 Buick Rivera with the 425 engine automatic.

Question:  It has a driveline vibration 3R80-10_thumbnailwhich starts as I accelerate is worst at 30 mph to 50 mph then dissipates at higher speed. I have had the driveshaft balanced and it had no effect. Tires are new. Universals seem good. Can you give me any advice as to what might be causing the vibration?

Answer:  We think your drive shaft is a two piece unit with a CV style ujoint in the center and rear. From you description of the problem we would suspect that your center bearing is worn out or you possibly have a broken transmission mount.

The center bearing is our part number PFPT3R80-10 you can see it in the image, rubber is probably gone bad.  If the center bearing is worn out give Lance or James a call at 800-444-0755 they can help you with a replacement.

If its not the center bearing you should consider sending the driveshaft complete (both halves) to us for checkout, we will provide an estimate to repair.

They are Crimped in and are not available so the dealer will want to sell you new shaft. But please call us first so we can save you Money. We will need your year make and model along with your wheel base and Vehicle identification number. Then we will build custom driveshaft for you. This would be new shaft with Spicer Dana Ujoint and hanger bearings to fit your 170WB sprinter van with all replaceable ujoints and Balanced. Price $973.00

Jeep 1994 Wrangle with transfer case output bushing problem

I have a 1994 Jeep Wrangler

Question: Within 3 months spun tail bushing again after and before rebuild on the transfer case.  Can you tell me what I need to do to locate the problem.

Answer:  We would that you check out the run out on the transfer case output shaft, use a micrometer to check the slip yoke (worn slip yoke will cause this problem) also check the u-joints and have a driveline shop high speed balance the drive shaft. Let us know what you find we can provide the parts you need.  If you send the driveshaft to us we can check it out and repair if necessary.

Problems with My Drive Shaft – Drive Line

Driveline Driveshaft troubles should not be ignored, on driveline_3the first indication of a vibration get your driveshaft checked out. Continued vibrations will certainly damage transmission and pinion seals causing lubricant loss and expensive breakdowns.

Driveshafts need to be repaired or re-manufactured by a professional shop, the best store will have a high-speed balancing system. Getting your driveline assembly well-balanced is actually most critical. 2 piece shafts needs to be balanced together with each other.
